Breaking: Bailiffs seize Netrebko’s Russian home

Breaking: Bailiffs seize Netrebko’s Russian home

A court in St Petersburg has ordered bailiffs to enter an apartment belonging to the opera singer Anna Netrebko. They have been ordered to inspect unauthorised structural work that may weaken the rest of the building, and to recover fees and fines that are owed to the court.

Netrebko and her representatives have not responded. She has not been seen in St Petersburg for some time.

The building is said to have considerable cultural and architectural value.
