Death of a famed tenor, 92

We have been notified of the passing of Stuat Burrows, a leading internmational tenor who had his own BBC series for two seasons, Stuart Burrows Sings.

Starting out most in concert performances, he made his La Scaka debut in 1968 and went on to sing for 12 consecutive seasons at the Met. He made numerous recordings and was a partocilar favourite of Sir Georg Solti’s.
