Finalists named at the Queen Elisabeth, Van Cliburn loses a Russian

The Queen Elisabeth piano competition in Brussels has arrived at 12 finalists. The are:

• Valère Burnon
• Arthur Hinnewinkel
• Wataru Hisasue
• Mirabelle Kajenjeri (pictured, France)
• Masaya Kamei
• Shiori Kuwahara
• Nikola Meeuwsen
• Nathalia Milstein
• Jiaxin Min
• Sergey Tanin
• Yuki Yoshimi

The Van Cliburn Competition in Fort Worth, Texas, has suffered a Russian withdrawal:
Anastasia Vorotnaya, 30, of Russia, has withdrawn from the 17th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, citing health reasons. She will not be replaced, and the Competition will begin with 29 pianists.
