French luthier, 69

The UK-schooled French luthier Patrick Robin has died at 69 after a long illness.

A graduate of the UK’s Newark School of Violin Making, he joined a group of restorers in Bremen before founding Atelier Robin & Frandsen in Angers in 1988.
