Grigolo is injured in Bolshoi stage accident

Grigolo is injured in Bolshoi stage accident

The compromised Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo – widely banned outside Italy after allegations of sexual misconduct – has suffered a physical setback to his career in Russia.

Yesterday, while singing the role of Cavaradossi in the Bolshoi Theatre’s production of Tosca, Grigolo’s leg got stuck between  a platform that was being moved and the stage. He was carried out by the arms in obvious pain for the curtain-calls.

Later, after receiving a pain-killing injection, he went out to the stage door to sign autographs for waiting fans.

Insidera are blaming poorer safety since the mostly-absent Valery Gergiev took over the theatre’s management.
