Heroes of Palestine at the Royal Opera House

Heroes of Palestine at the Royal Opera House

An open letter signed by 182 staff members of the Royal Ballet and Opera at Covent Garden objects the company’s failure to condemn the ‘genocide’ in Gaza. The protestors are particularly upset at the attempt by RBO director Oliver Mears to remove a Palestine flag during recent curtain calls for Il Trovatore.

The signatories claim to be ‘members of the Royal Ballet and Opera – including dancers, singers, musicians and staff across artistic, creative, technical and administrative departments’.
