Just in: Ivan Fischer takes new job

Message just in from the EUYO – The European Union Youth Orchestra:

We proudly announce our new music director Iván Fischer.

This August, Maestro Fischer will open our #2024summertour at Grafenegg, followed by touring to Carnegie Hall and Bolzano Festival Bozen. He will help plan our auditions, training, and performances, and in partnership with BFO – Budapest Festival Orchestra, we’re launching a to train future musical leaders.

It is also our honour to say a huge thank you to Vasily Petrenko for his incredible decade as Chief Conductor. It’s not the last time we’ll work together…he’ll be conducting us again in summer 2025!
