La Scala bans entry to tank-tops and shorts

La Scala bans entry to tank-tops and shorts

The theatre has tightened up on dress code.

A new line on its website states:

The Management invites the public to choose clothing appropriate to the decorum of the Theater, respecting the Theater itself and other spectators. Spectators wearing tank tops or shorts are not allowed inside the Theater; in this case, tickets are not refundable.

You have been warned.

Signs have been placed at the entrance and the ticket offices at La Scala.

La Scala has also warned operagoers not to place their phones on the front of their boxes after one fell and hit someone in the stalls below.
