Levit substitutes for Kissin at Salzburg

Levit substitutes for Kissin at Salzburg

Message from the festival:

Evgeny Kissin has unfortunately fallen ill and has been forced to cancel his solo recital on 4 August.

The Salzburg Festival is extraordinarily grateful to Igor Levit for stepping in to perform the recital, altering the programme in the first half.

At this point, Evgeny Kissin plans to participate in the chamber music concert with works by Dmitri Shostakovich – on the day of the 50th anniversary of the composer’s death – as originally announced.
