Next up at the Kennedy Center: The Apple opera

press release:

Washington National Opera (WNO) presents the highly-anticipated The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, created by Kennedy Center’s first Composer-in-Residence Mason Bates and librettist Mark Campbell. The Grammy Award®-winning opera, which follows the life of Steve Jobs and his quest for inner peace, has become one of the most-produced American operas of the 21st century. The WNO production features noted American baritone John Moore singing the role of Steve Jobs, a role he has portrayed in several major American opera houses, and Wei Wu, a former WNO Cafritz Young Artist who created and will reprise the role of Kōbun Chino Otogawa. These performances will be conducted by Lidiya Yankovskaya, the pioneering Music Director of Chicago Opera Theater.

To be followed by the Elon Musk musical?
