Pittsburgh upgrades Ukrainian violinist

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has appointed Marta Krechkovsky Assistant Concertmaster. She has been playing in the orchestra for the past six months.

Marta began studying violin at six with her father, Orest Krechkovsky. At Juilliard she studied with ex=NY Phil concertmaster Glenn Dicterow.

‘So grateful and excited,’ she said today.

The day the US abandoned her country.
