Philadelphia Orchestra shakes up its cellos

The orchestra and its music director Yannick Nézet-Séguin have chosen three new cellists – one Chinese, one from Taiwan and an Israeli.

Jiayin He, from Shanghai, is presently principal cello in the Curtis Symphony Orchestra.
Eugene Lin (pictured), from Taiwan, has played in the Chicago Symphony.
Michael Katz, from Tel Aviv, is ex-Juilliard.

A fourth player, Hsiang-Hsin Ching from Taiwan, has joined the viola section.
