Errant pianist costs orchestra .3 million

The mounting costs of a pianist turning his recital into a pro-Gaza show have been revealed in the annual accounts of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

The orchestra cancelled Jayson Gillham’s next event, a matter which is the subject of ongoing litigation. It went on to sack its own MD.  The costs of these actions and related fallouts are detailed by the MSO chairman, below:
